Eric Diamond landed his first professional singing job at the tender age of 15, he made it to the state finals of the Jimmy Dean Country Showdown twice at the age of 15 and 16 and played in local country bands in Santa Fe New Mexico and Durango Colorado areas till he was 21. From age 21 to 26, he played with his first road band called “Cowtown Swing“. He then moved to Nashville landing a songwriting job, which was cut short because he had to return west for family matters. After that, he worked for three years as a front man for the “Midnight Rose Band” and band leader for the “David Blanchard Band“.
Eric also worked as a floor manager and in-house entertainer at Horny’s Dance Hall and saloon in Durango Colorado. While working there he had the chance to put together his own band: “Eric Diamond & the Rocky Mountains Playboys“.
For six years he worked an 11 state region playing the A Room circuit, then in 2020 he began singing and dancing at the Bob Wills Festival in Turkey Texas performing at three of the four venues in town. The last seven years he has been playing mostly in Missouri Oklahoma, and Texas. In 2021 Eric launched an album that finished in the top five for Western Swing album of the year by the Academy of Western Artists. Eric has also won the 2021 Western Swing Male Vocalist of the year.
Prior to joining the Indie friendly Big Records Label, Eric Diamond launched his latest album entitled “Eric Diamond All Of Me” produced by Clarksville Creative Sound with producer Curt Ryle. The world premier radio release was done on KSSL Radio out of Lubbock Texas, airing eight times in six different countries and then on May 15 2023 they released the album to all worldwide radio. Eric is currently as well as doing shows on the route 66 Kix Tour.
