Hailing from Ivory Coast, Marius Vitry has created a unique blend of rhythm using West Indies and African rhythms. Cesar Marius Zorogolé (his real name), dreamed of performing music at the young age of 18.
As an adult, Marius Vitry moved to Barcelona and then to Toronto, Ontario, where he met Dakar a music producer. They started working on his first album Zelys in 1996.
Later that year he released Zelys. In 2000 he released K-Pasha and later that year, he released Osanadé. In 2012 he released Africa Revolution.
His past Award nominations include Best New Artist at the Toronto African Awards and also Best New Album release at the Toronto 2000 Music Awards.
