Michael F. Rose, founder and front man for Idaho’s Bad Horse is a Big Records recording artist and lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Idaho’s Bad Horse. This American Country/Rock/Blues Band was formed in Boise, Idaho in 2021. They are heard globally and are the preeminent original band out of Idaho quickly making a mark in the music world.

As California quickly transformed into a place I didn’t want to raise my Family, I decided to head out to Utah to see if I could find greener pastures for my family and myself. My eldest son, Michael JR, had to leave his wife and daughters to head up to Idaho to attend Lineman College. After a brief stay in Southwest Utah where I did some contracting and played a few shows, Michael invited me up near Boise to check out this amazing place he had found.
Knowing that Junior’s wife and my G-babies would soon be moving up to Idaho from California to join Michael once he graduated, I agreed that I would be doing the same. One month later I was northbound and down rolling up and truckin’ my part of our clan north to a little town in beautiful Idaho.
I immediately started playing local shows, Locking Horns Riverside Restaurant in Horseshoe Bend, ID, Brown Beard Brewing Co. in Garden City, ID, The Red Eye Bar and Grill downtown Kuna and Indian Creek Winery to name a few places where I began to play my original music. I had never felt the Love, like I felt, from the people in Idaho.

“Still America” was released by Sony Orchard on March 7, 2024. Already, this song is taking off worldwide. Interesting how a song about America would. “The world needs a strong America.” Michael Rose stated, “The alternative is frightening. Love translates to all languages in every country worldwide. That is why “Still America” has appeal all over the world.”
Bad Horse’s upcoming 2024 release of their Album “Medicine Show” is causing early whispers about Grammy and CMA nominations. Michael F. Rose, Lead Singer & Songwriter of Bad Horse had this to say about nominations or winning such awards….
“The paperweights or trophies are not the goal, but results of the intention. By winning at this level, our music can reach the world in a way greater than it already is. Music is my medicine! Without it I would not be alive. When I write, I am making Medicine that heals me, then I share it with everyone, so they too may heal. LOVE HEALS! Every song we write begins with the premise of LOVE in some form or fashion.”
