LooPS, the award-winning acoustic-pop duo from Kamloops, BC, is proud to announce the release of their latest single, “Last Goodbye”.
Known for their high-energy live performances and inspiring music, LooPS has been paving their own path in the music industry since 2019. Their new uplifting track tells the story of finding the strength to walk away from an unhealthy relationship and embracing a brighter future.
Composed by Kevin Roy and Jon Fennell, “Last Goodbye” is a testament to the duo’s ability to craft infectious and inspiring music. The song’s narrative delivers a moment of self-discovery and self-confidence as they take their last steps from “this may be the last goodbye” to crossing their new plateau with “it’s gotta be the last goodbye”.
The “Last Goodbye“ is driven home to remind the listener that it (that toxic relationship) is finally over”, states lead singer Kevin Roy. “If you are struggling, we want to help you find the confidence needed to start anew and to lead that choice with conviction.
With their unique blend of acoustic guitar-driven mainstream melodies, powerful harmonies, and soulful vocals, LooPS is set to captivate audiences with “Last Goodbye”. This single is more than just a song – it’s a message of hope and empowerment for anyone struggling to break free from toxic relationships.
We want our music to reach as many people as possible and help them through their own tough times, says Kevin Roy of LooPS.
LooPS has been making waves in the music scene by previously working with B.C. Music Hall of Famer, Musician and Producer Doug Cox, and having won multiple awards in the Kamloops This Week Readers Choice Awards (including Best Band/Singer for both 2022 and 2023) and bronze in the 2024 Best of Kamloops Awards for Best Band. With a rapidly growing fan base and a string of successful shows under their belt, including opening for Forest Blakk in October 2024, the duo is poised for bigger things.
While LooPS are determined to push the bar and pursue their goals, they remain committed to their art, their audience and their charitable hearts. “We’re determined to play Wembley Stadium one day, and we’re taking it one step at a time, playing across Canada, getting our singles on radio, and eventually taking our music to the United States and overseas,” adds instrumentalist Jon Fennell.
This song also previously made waves to help the B.C. Children’s Hospital Foundation on July 8, 2023 during LooPS’s 12 hour quest to break the Guiness World Record for most cities playing a concert in a 12 hour period. LooPS traveled to 9 cities in British Columbia to play 9 concerts for the attempt, while focused on raising funds and awareness for the BCCHF. The duo completed the feat with 23 minutes to spare for a well deserved toast with the team that made the dream a reality. Each concert ended with LooPS playing Last Goodbye and footage from the attempt was used to make the official music video for Last Goodbye, which tells the story of the entire record breaking day while paired with the studio track. Time was of the essence to make the record possible, but it really was about raising as much money as possible for the BCCHF in this case. In the end, the team raised $ 18,402 surpassing their expectations and making the entire attempt and efforts a resounding success!
