This is a man’s story of bad luck, divorce, alimony, running from the Law, a dose of liquor and of course to top it all off, more women problems. All this and more like a dead man’s hand from a Wild Bill Hickok tale may follow you but is it really the end all of your story? “It really makes you wonder“ doesn’t it? What the hell is really happening here?

Levinson, a Country, Rock and Blues singer-songwriter out of rural Missouri, USA, talks about a guy that is dealing with the pain of bad luck but wants his audience to know that although you may be going through life’s `trials and tribulations`, you are not alone.

Levinson refers to his song to the same bad luck as Wild Bill Hickok, who was shot on August 1, 1876, in the back of the head at point-blank range in Nuttal & Mann’s Saloon #10 in Deadwood, Dakota Territory (now referred to as South Dakota), holding a pair of ‘`black aces and eights’, referred to as the Dead man’s hand. All this happened by the hand of a very insulted, sore loser and untalented gambler named Jack McCall. But as in life as in death, and as the saying goes, `we need this like a hole in the head`; let’s get past this already. His song stories, Levinson proclaims, are “based on life experiences. I write songs for people to reflect, laugh, think and relate to something in their lives. With “What the Hell is Happenin?” maybe someone went through a bad divorce, or had a string of bad luck. It`s good to know you’re not alone.“

Levinson loves to interact with his fans and gain new ones. His love of performing whether in bars, private functions like corporate events, or even having his songs placed for sync licensing, he finds that it is inspiring and he is honoured that his songs resonate with his public.

It’s cathartic at times. And I get a charge when someone comes up to me at a gig and says ‘love that song, it really got to me’ ‘you’re singing my life story dude.’

Levinson is influenced by songwriting legends, Tom Petty, the Beatles, the Stones, Charlie Pride, Chuck Berry, Johnny Walker, and Hank Williams.

While listening to their songs of “broken hearts, bad habits, fast cars, sinners and saints, love, lust and pick-up trucks“, they reminded him of his own life experience.

The Missouri Singer-Songwriter, has been recording in both Nashville and his home state for over ___ years. His music can be heard on most platforms and on Independent Radio stations in the US, UK, AU, DE and CA.

Outside of music, Levinson has spent most of his life in public service starting as a paramedic, a firefighter, and a crossover into law enforcement.

I’ve had assignments to homicide, organized crime, undercover narcotics, terrorism, corporate healthcare fraud investigations and disaster response. It’s been a thrill ride. Sometimes gratifying, sometimes terrifying.

Levinson, who has seen just about everything, says that he has “used this broad brush of life experience to craft visceral, entertaining, reflective, contemplative, quirky and sometimes funny songs“.
